18 HISTORIC HOLES & ROLLING HILLS
The fescue, turns, hills and water effects of Agawam's historic 18-hole golf course make every hole a unique experience. Our rolling, links-style course has evolved from its original 9-hole layout designed by Willie
Parks into its current 18-hole Donald Ross design. For all ages and all levels of play, our course is
challenging, yet approachable and is one of the Top 10 rated in Rhode Island.
We are proud to be in partnership with The Nature Conservancy to manage and preserve our "inside 11"
in perpetuity. Under guidance from the Conservancy, we've implemented green practices that include
low chemical usage that preserves the integrity of our outstanding turf while also ensuring that our
environment is safe for our members and the wildlife that calls Agawam home.

Course History
Golf at Agawam Hunt began as a 9 hole Willie Parks course in 1895. It transformed into an 18 hole Donald Ross course in 1920. Under the leadership of Gil Hanse and Ian Andrew, we are transitioning the course into to the shape that matches Donald Ross roots with the longer hits afforded by modern equipment. Golf Outings
While Agawam Hunt is a private club, each season we allow a limited number of outside golfing events to introduce members of the community to our exceptional facilities. As we are open 7 days a week, Agawam can offer mini-outings and full outings on any weekday and off-season weekends. More detail can be found in our Golf Outings section.
